Description
Description: Pair of zinc-plated weld-on steel hinges with bearings and fixing plates, suitable for square tubes. They are welded to the gate after inserting the square tubes into the tubes. Attached to the post with bolts and plugs. This hinge set is for 40mm profiles with a square section. Weight ratings and further information found on the product information document.
Maintenance (in optimal working and safe condition):
- 1. After assembly and after performing a few opening and closing sequences, ensure that there are no loose parts. Check periodically for loosening.
- 2. Ensure that the door does not fall due to a failure of the lower support. If this occurs, the pin could slip from the bearing and the door could fall. If you notice a fall greater than 2-3mm, reinforce the lower support or the flooring (if this is the one that is failing) and, if necessary, unsolder and reposition the hinge.
- 3. If the items have been subjected to impacts from moving vehicles or other factors, ensure that they are intact, properly secured, and that their operation has not been compromised in any way.
Hinge Selection: Once the A/H ratio of the gate in question has been calculated (see figures), find the point on the graph that corresponds to the gate’s weight. Suitable hinges are those whose curve is above this point. If the gate’s weight is not evenly distributed, the value of A should be considered equal to twice the distance between the gate’s center of gravity and the leaf’s axis of rotation.
Warning: Installation that does not comply with the procedure illustrated and/or failure to perform correct maintenance could cause the gate to malfunction, compromising the safety of people and property nearby.
