Our hinge caps are specifically designed to fit the bottom TruClose^® hinge, providing an extra layer of protection to help prevent small children from using them as a climbing foothold. Safety caps are available as an option for all Tru-Close hinges to improve safety and security. When installed onto the bottom hinge, the cap’s steep ‘ramp’ will prevent a toddler from scaling the gate or reaching the latch.
